What are Tonies?
The Tonies toy system is composed of Tonie characters and a Toniebox. Tonie characters are hand-painted, magnetic figurines. When placed on a Toniebox, it activates music, stories and audio adventures customised for that Tonie. It is an imagination-building, screen-free digital listening experience - an amazing assistive technology experience for everyone, young and old alike.
How do Tonies work?
Safely embedded within every Tonie character is a small chip. This tells the Toniebox which story it can play. Once set up, you can play any Tonie and download content from our multilingual Audio Library by the Toniebox. All content you own is now available to you anytime and anywhere.
What are Creative-Tonies?
Creative-Tonies are Tonie characters that can store up to 90 minutes of recorded audio content. You can personalize your Creative-Tonie in the mytonies app and use it however you want. This can be messages from a loved one, a creative recording or a song, or a favourite story book that you recorded yourself. The possibilities are up to the user’s imagination!
How can Tonies help?
The Toniebox was developed for children aged 3 and up and is designed for independent play. The fully tactile controls are designed for young listeners, so they can easily adjust the volume, fast forward and rewind, and change stories themselves. Tonieboxes are designed with big interfaces and bright colours, helping those with low vision identify and use the devices more easily.
Tonies toys include music players, audiobooks and figurines, designed with accessible controls that small hands can use independently.
