Event details

This is a free online course running over three weekly sessions on Monday September 1, 8 and 15 from 11am – 12.30pm AEST.

Our writing workshop is open to Vision Australia Library Members aged 18 and over.

Event description

Vision Australia Library is thrilled to welcome back award-winning author Emily Maguire to facilitate a hands-on workshop with emerging writers eager to commence their writing journey.

In this writing workshop, we’ll practice tried and true techniques for coming up with ideas, getting words on the page fast and (re)discovering your writing voice. Emily will guide you on a journey to:

  • learn to find story ideas hiding in plain sight
  • discover ways to supercharge your imagination (even if you think you don’t have one)
  • practice overcoming fear and self-consciousness when it comes to getting your words on the page.

Come with enthusiasm and passion, leave with the knowledge that you're an inspired writer with a style all your own.
